Chili Poppers

Image
Cooking O riginally, this recipe came from one of the blogs I follow, the Weir Family . It is called “Jalapeño Poppers” . I love chili stuff so much and I find this one different and so I tried it. Since it was my first time to do it, I didn’t perfect it. I overcooked the bacon strips but it still taste good, “crunchy bacon strips”  . My husband didn’t find a jalapeño and so I ended up with a long chili, as it was written in the tag, I’m not sure. So this one is really hot  . You can try other chili as it suite you, provided that it can be stuffed with cheese.  Here are the ingredients and procedures: Ingredients: 12 fresh Long Chili Cream cheese Grated cheddar cheese 12 bacon strips DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 250. Cut chili in half lengthwise. Using a spoon, scrape out the seeds and membranes. Leave a little bit of seed if you like it hotter.   In a bowl, combine the cream cheese and the cheddar cheese. Mix with a wooden spoon or you

Flowers of Rastanura

Friends are flowers in the garden of life CAPTURING I  had the chance to capture some beautiful flowers when we went swimming in ARAMCO Rastanura last 2011 Eid Al Adha. Yep, this photos has been sleeping for a long time now in my external hard disk :) It's so rare for me to have subjects such as these because of the place where I am at. I'm not saying that this place is not picturesque but only because our life in this country revolves in "going to work" and "going home"; we sometimes eat out; but most of the time we make some groceries during salary or have some time in the park, but only when the weather is fine.  The whole family can also drive around during Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. But I cannot just go out anytime I want and drive around the city just to point and shoot all the beautiful things I see; women are not allowed to drive here (sigh, as if I know how to drive :b).  On our way I don't know the names of these flowers

Dinner at Tony Roma's Ribs Seafood Steak

Image
Eating-Out I t's the first day of Ramadan and the night is longer here in the Middle East. After a week of hubby’s night shift job, he decided to take us out for dinner. We went to Mall of Dhahran so it will be easier for us to push around with our newborn’s bulky stroller; it was actually his first night-out. We can’t decide yet where to eat so we walk for a while in the long aisle of the mall. The place is so quiet and there’s not much crowd yet, very typical for the first night of Ramadan. And a fter 15  minutes of walking my tummy starts to rumble so I told my husband to try out Tony Roma since I am craving for some steak these past few days. As we enter the place, a Kabayan greeted us and helped us in getting a table. He noticed our baby and asks how old is he and was surprised to find out that our baby is only 17 days old. Kabayan: Totoo? (While peeping into my son’s stroller with so much surprise) Me: Yup! ☺ Kabayan: Eh paano tahi nyo? Me: Medyo okay na
